Excelsior Convent School

Principal's Message

It is an honour and a privilege to be the Principal of Excelsior Convent School, Patiala, the school that stands for excellence and uniqueness in its own style. The school that continuously over accomplish its own standards every year and sets new and higher standards.

In today’s day age where schools have sprung up in every nook and corner of the country, and making tall claims to trap the naive parents; the best way to choose a school for your child is to personally visit school for yourself. Websites and prospectus could all be made to look very attractive with the advancement of technology, but a hands on experience in a prospective school, should be the ultimate determining factor.
It is a universal fact that in overall ambit of life, a person armed with good education is bestowed with an advantage in the quest for success. Whether it is a girl or a boy a worthwhile education is the most valuable present a parent can gift to a child.
Education is not just teaching subjects but develop a child into a complete man. Education empowers students to discover themselves – who they are as people. Thus it is the most important duty of the parents to choose the correct school.

I, along with my team of silent workers and dedicated faculty, intend to build on this strong foundation and raise the standards in all spheres, to the zenith.

Your's Sincerely.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM), Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, or Clean India Mission is a country-wide campaign initiated by the Government of India in 2014 to eliminate open defecation and improve solid waste management.

It is a restructured version of the Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan launched in 2009 that failed to achieve its intended targets. Phase 1 of the Swachh Bharat mission lasted till October 2019. Phase 2 will be implemented between 2020–21 and 2024-25.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi exhorted people to fulfill Mahatma Gandhi's vision of Clean India. The 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' is a massive mass movement that seeks to create a Clean India. Cleanliness was very close to Mahatma Gandhi's heart. A clean India is the best tribute we can pay to Bapu when we celebrate his 150th birth anniversary in 2019. Mahatma Gandhi devoted his life so that India attains 'Swarajya'. Now the time has come to devote ourselves towards 'Swachchhata' (cleanliness) of our motherland.

From Principal

Cleanliness is important in our life as well as for the nation. It is well known that Mahatma Gandhi personally took effort to achieve the change that he wanted to see. Role of teachers and students is very important to create awareness on cleanliness. It is not only the duty of local government but it’s the need of hour that all the people should actively participate to make India clean to fulfill the dream of Mahatma Gandhi for the protection environment and protection of our future.

From Director

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Swachh Bharat Mission on Oct 2nd 2014, the 145th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. It is India’s biggest ever cleanliness drive. Sanitation has emerged as a key issue since 2011 census. As per the government data, till November 2018, around 25 states and more than 5 lakhs villages have been declared open Defecation free and 96.55% rural households have toilets. Though the government is putting forward its best efforts, but what matters the most is the behavioral change of its citizen which is very important to keep our country clean.
